Edit the Employee Name and Pronouns
Users with appropriate permissions can edit an employee’s first, middle, and last name, and if the Pronouns feature is enabled, select preferred pronouns.
The following are pre-requisites:
- Edit Permission: Depending on edit permissions granted on the Self-Service Administration Screen, you can edit your own employee details, or the employee details of other employees, such as direct reports. To grant members of the Employee, Manager, or Human Resource Business Partner groups access to edit this information, the Administrator completes additional steps on the Self-Service Administration screen. An Edit icon displays next to the employee’s name if this information is editable.
- Enabled Pronouns Feature: If you have licensed the Core HR module, you can enable the Pronouns feature (Features Screen » Core HR » Total Talent Profile » Pronouns). This feature allows employees to specify preferred pronouns. If enabled, the out of the box pronoun values are he/him, she/her, they/them. An administrator can modify this list on the Pronouns Drop-down and Multi-Select List Screen.
To edit the employee name:
- On the Total Talent Profile, click the Edit icon .
- Edit the first, middle, and last name, as needed. If the Pronouns feature is enabled, select the appropriate pronouns. Default pronouns can be modified by an administrator on the Pronouns Multi-Select List.
- Click Save.
